Initiated by renowned Estonian conductor, Grammy winner Tõnu Kaljuste, the festival takes place on the Estonian islands – anywhere that requires access by sea.
An important part of Nargenfestival events take place on Naissaar Island at Omari Barn. The island is accessible by a short ferry ride from Tallinn.
The program is diverse, ranging from folk music to the best of world classics. The festival also promotes authentic Estonian music and drama.
